Pillow Type

Nice pillow from CB2. Plain white with black helvetica type. I wish there were variations as far as what the type on the pillow reads, or better yet, the ability to customize.

Ill Studio

The Ill Studio is a French group of collaborators working in graphic design, photography, typography, illustration, video, motion design, etc. I’m digging the simplicity of their recent ”remix” of Nike’s icon book for the lauch of Nike Sportswear in France. Via Johnson.

Ampersand

Ampersand is a publication by the Kansas City Art Institute.
“It’s not your traditional newsmagazine, but more of a collection of curated pages.”
Whatever you call it, it’s tasty.

Grid Philly

Grid is a new magazine coming out of Philly, designed and published by Red Flag Media, under the direction of  Alex Mulcahy.

This new publication inspires the people of Philadelphia to create a more just, livable and sustainable city. The theme of the first issue is biking, and to show how engrained they are in this cause, they’ve inked a deal with the Pedal Co-op to distribute the mag entirely by bike, it’s also printed on 100% recycled paper, and employees of the mag are reimbursed for public transit costs, etc. Sounds like a great initiative, and something that Philly could certainly benefit from. Look for the full premier issue in print on January 15th, or catch a preview online or download a PDF. On a side note, I see one of my friends Melissa is already doing some illustration work for them. Good stuff.
