Chris Silas Neal is an illustrator and designer, born in Texas and currently based in Brooklyn. His work has been published and recognized numerous times by the likes of Communication Arts, American Illustration, AIGA, Society of Illustrators, Society of Publication Designers, Art Directors Club of Denver, Print Magazine and Society of News Designers. He also teaches Illustration at Pratt Institute. Love his style and simplicity – make sure to check out his drawings too.

Michael Freimuth

Some people just have it. New York City based art director, designer and illustrator Michael Freimuth is one of those people. His work seems effortless, his range is endless, and every approach he takes has a very considered purpose. Currently working at Tender in Manhattan, Freimuth is also the creative director for Proximity Magazine and design journal Matériel.

Tim Gough is a Philadelphia based illustrator, designer, and publisher of a limited edition zine called Cut and Paste. He’s also Art Director for the Philadelphia Weekly. Tim was recently interviewed at the always inspiring Grain Edit, which uncovers Tim’s creative process, talks about his history, and offers some great advice for up and coming illustrators. He also just revamped his site with the help of interactive design studio, WellFed, also based in Philadelphia.

You’re probably most familiar with his Good Transparency work done at Kiss Me I’m Polish, but I also really enjoy his Operation Proofread 10 weeks 10 tips 10 posters project.

The SPACETIME Collection is co-curated by Poketo and Kitsune Noir and designed by Mike Perry, Cody Hudson, Damien Correll, and Andy Miller. This stellar new series is composed of Poketo’s latest offering of wall art decals, signature wallets, and t-shirts. I was lucky enough to win a set of decals through Twitter, and it’s a really rad collection. It’s a perfectly curated colab. Below are some standard product shots, as well as some shots from the set I received, that my daughter and I (mostly her) used to decorate her room! So fun, and cool to know that some of my favorite artists now occupy space in my house (I have the Cody Hudson set in my studio). There’s also a pic of a print from my friend Tiphanie Brooke in her room too. Big thanks to Poketo for the Twitter contest!
