Andy Baron

Andy Baron is a San Francisco-based designer who spent several years with Landor Associates before teaming up with Tomorrow Partners. I love his recent redesign of the Miller High Life packaging, and overall he’s got some solid work, and smart ideas like his proposed identity for the San Diego Zoo, based on their catchy tagline, Wild at Heart.

Tünr

Tünr | Fine Tune Your Feet.
My good friend Jerrod Modica runs his own shop, T2AP based right outside of Philly. He recently launched his new brand Tünr, a dope line of laces and socks to go with your favorite sneakers. Right now Tünr offers 10 styles of socks and 10 styles of laces. The laces come in multiple designs, lengths, widths — plastic and metal aglets — and they coordinate with the socks. Part of the collection will also be collaborative, the first of which is with Dee & Ricky, with many more efforts in the works.

, they’re well crafted and super-comfy.

Workerman

Along with print and apparel, design shop Workerman produces some really beautiful handcrafted wooden handlebars out of select hardwoods. Form over function, these bars aren’t intended for actually riding, although, they look so good I might take my chances.

Hornall Anderson

Really impressive work and online presence from Hornall Anderson. Featured here are some of the assets from their latest effort for the launch of Google’s G1. They also maintain a blog, which is unique in that it is timeline-based, horizontal format, and all flash (not to mention they just posted about Philly!)
